After Zimbabwe held their nerve to pull off a brilliant two-run win over India in the first Twenty20 International, the hosts would want to build on that start and take the three-match series. After Elton Chigumbura and Hamilton Masakadza found a way to strike form and lay the platform with a strong total, Neville Madziva came in to bowl a fine last over and hand Zimbabwe a win.
After a poor One-Day International series that the hosts lost 0-3, they bounced back in fine fashion to get some confidence and momentum. Whether or not they will be able to sustain the same will be left to see in the second game. Zimbabwe were dealt with a blow ahead of the clash with their wicketkeeper-batsman Richmond Mutumbami being ruled out after he was hit on the right hip while batting against Jaydev Unadkat during the Zimbabwean innings in the first match which forced him to retire hurt.
Malcolm Waller took over the wicketkeeping duties in Mutumbami's absence, Peter Joseph Moor might be the replacement for the injured 27-year-old. In addition, Brian Chari still continues his recovery from a knee injury.

The pitch looks to be a dry pitch, but is a bat-first wicket. Atul Wassan says that the ball will come on nicely onto the bat and it will be a high-scorer. Win the toss, bat first says the expert!
Zimbabwe captain Graeme Creme wins the toss and opts to bat in the second T20I.
"Looking to put runs on the board and then put pressure on them (India) with the ball," says the skipper. "I don't think toss is too important. I don't the track won't change much. It might help the spinners a little bit more. The guys are happy with the win, but we know we have two more games to go. We will look to get 170 runs on the board."
Peter Moor comes in for the injured Mutumbami.
MS Dhoni concedes running between the wickets in addition to giving away too may boundaries between over 13 and 17 cost India the first match. India make two changes, with Dhawal Kulkarni and Barinder Sran coming in for Jaydev Unadkat and Rishi Dhawan.
