Hosts Uganda had a perfect five-from-five record heading into the returning CWC Challenge League Group B, the ICC's third tier 50-over competition returning from a protracted Covid-enforced hiatus at Kampala on Friday (June 17). They were, however, ambushed by Jersey in the tournament opener as the islanders racked up 255 for 6 before bowling the hosts out for 193, as Dominic Blampied returned 5-18. Uganda collapsed from 92 for 1 to be bowled out 62 runs short.
